TERMS OF USE
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. General
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the websites adventist.gr, zontanielpida.gr, livinghope.gr and, for as long as it remains active, the temporary version new.adventist.gr (collectively, the “Website”).
The Website is operated under the responsibility of the Christian Church of Seventh-day Adventists, with registered address at Maiandrou 7, 18450 Nikaia, Greece, Tax Identification Number 099011120.
The name “Greek Mission” is used to refer to the Church’s ecclesiastical administration and work in Greece.
By accessing and using the Website, visitors acknowledge that their use is governed by these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy where applicable.
2. Purpose of the Website
The Website is the official online presence of the Christian Church of Seventh-day Adventists in Greece.
It provides information about the Church, its faith and teachings, local churches, activities and ministries, as well as news, biblical and spiritual content, printed or digital resources, contact information and the possibility of making financial contributions to support the work of the Church.
Unless otherwise indicated, the religious content published on the Website reflects the biblical understanding and teachings of the Christian Church of Seventh-day Adventists.
3. Use of Content
Visitors may use the Website and its content for personal, non-commercial information, study and communication purposes.
The Website must not be used in any unlawful, misleading, abusive or harmful manner, or in a way that may affect the operation of the Website, the Church, other users or third parties.
In particular, users must not attempt unauthorised access to systems or data, interfere with the operation of the Website, introduce malicious code, carry out automated large-scale collection of content in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the Website or circumvents technical safeguards, or use the content for unlawful purposes.
4. Accuracy and Updating of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on the Website is accurate, current and clear.
However, information such as opening times, programmes, activities, events, contact details and local church information may change. Where information is important for a planned visit or participation in an activity, visitors are advised to confirm the details directly with the relevant church or the Greek Mission.
Any errors or omissions brought to the attention of the Church will be reviewed and corrected where appropriate.
5. Spiritual and Pastoral Content
The Website includes biblical, theological, spiritual and pastoral content.
This content is provided for informational, educational and spiritual purposes and does not constitute personalised medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice.
In an emergency, visitors should not rely on Website contact forms or other non-immediate communication channels and should instead contact the appropriate emergency or professional services.
6. Intellectual and Industrial Property
Texts, photographs, graphics, logos, videos, audio recordings, translations, design elements and other Website content are protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property laws where relevant.
Rights may belong to the Christian Church of Seventh-day Adventists, other organisations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, authors, publishers or other third-party rights holders.
The availability of content on the Website does not constitute a general licence for commercial reproduction, republication, distribution or use of trade marks.
Where specific content is accompanied by separate terms or a specific licence, those terms apply to that content.
Any use beyond what is permitted by law or by a specific licence requires prior permission from the relevant rights holder.
7. Downloadable Files and Resources
The Website may provide books, leaflets, calendars, study materials, PDF files and other resources for download.
The fact that a file is available for download does not mean that the work is free of copyright restrictions or that commercial exploitation or redistribution is permitted.
Any specific terms or restrictions accompanying a downloadable file must be respected.
8. Contact Forms
Visitors may use the available forms to contact the Church regarding questions, information, local churches, faith, the Bible or other related matters.
Users must provide accurate information and must not submit unlawful, offensive or malicious content, or personal data relating to third parties without a lawful basis.
Personal data submitted through contact forms is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9. Donations and Financial Contributions
The Website provides the possibility of making voluntary financial contributions to support the mission and activities of the Church.
A donation does not constitute the purchase of a product or service.
Electronic payments are processed through an external payment services provider. Before completing a payment, donors should verify the amount, the selected purpose and, where applicable, the selected local church.
The selected purpose or local church is recorded in order to allocate the contribution correctly for accounting purposes. Selection of a specific purpose or church does not mean that the selected entity becomes a contracting party to the electronic transaction.
Donations are not refundable solely because the donor changes their mind, unless a refund is required by law. In cases of duplicate charges, unauthorised transactions or technical errors, the donor may contact the Church so that the matter can be reviewed.
The Church does not guarantee that every financial contribution qualifies for a tax deduction.
10. External Links and Third-Party Services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services and may use embedded services such as maps, videos or payment services.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and policies and are not under the direct control of the Church.
The presence of a link to a third-party website does not, by itself, constitute endorsement of all content or services provided by that third party.
11. Availability and Security
Reasonable efforts are made to ensure that the Website remains secure and available.
Temporary interruptions or limitations may nevertheless occur due to maintenance, technical issues, upgrades, security incidents or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Church.
No guarantee is given that every function or item of content will remain available indefinitely.
12. Limitation of Liability
The Church is not responsible for losses arising solely from unlawful or abusive use of the Website by a user, or from third-party services and content outside the Church’s control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or legal rights where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
13. Personal Data and Cookies
The processing of personal data through the Website is governed by the Privacy Policy.
The use of cookies, local storage and related technologies is described in the Cookie Policy.
Users may change their preferences regarding optional cookies at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link.
14. Amendments
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the Website, its services or applicable law.
The current version will always be published on the Website together with the date of the latest update.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Greek law and applicable European Union law.
Any dispute should first be addressed by contacting the Church in an effort to resolve the matter amicably and, where this is not possible, may be referred to the competent authorities or courts in accordance with applicable law.
